Jobs Assist Program
Cooper Reeves delivers jobs to Queensland Businesses Cooper Reeves is accredited to assist Queensland businesses under the Queensland Government Jobs Assist Program. This will assist the Queensland Government in creating 110,000 jobs for Queensland.
Paul Cooper of Cooper Reeves was one of the first business advisers to be approved by the State Government to deliver the assistance to eligible Queensland businesses.
Eligible businesses will receive $8000 under the program.
Does
your business qualify?
To be eligible your business must:
- Operate an established business in Queensland;
- Have an ABN (registered in QLD) and be registered for GST;
- Be experiencing one of the following:
- the variation in working capital is negative and has declined by more than 25% between the two most recent reporting periods; or
- the business begins the two point period with negative working capital and remains in that position at the end of the two point period.
- Employ at least 10 full time staff (or equivalent part time staff); and either
- Be in a preferred industry or
- Operate the business in a priority region
The priority industries are:-
• Aviation and aerospace
• Defence
• Biotechnology
• Environmental and mining technologies and services
• Creative industries
• Information and communication technology
• Marine
• Therapeutic medicines and devices
• Processed food
• Tourism
• Alternative and renewable fuels
• Aquaculture
• Advanced manufacturing
• Wine
• Fibre Composites
• Liquefied natural gas
If your business operates in one of these priority industries, and you employ at least 10 full time staff, your business may be eligible for the $8000 support.
The Government is also giving priority to any businesses employing at least 10 full time employees in the following localities:-
• Logan city
• Ipswich
• Sunshine Coast
• Isis
• Cairns
• Townsville

How does you business obtain this support?
Eligible businesses will receive up to $3,000 for a business diagnostic and up to $5,000 for implementation of a comprehensive business plan.
Application forms must be completed and lodged with the local Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation for assessment. Once approved, you will then be given a list of suitable providers and your business planning process can begin. (Contact our office to obtain an application form)
